1. Bio

︎ Loris is a Milano-based visual designer and art director specialised in illustration and art direction for motion.

Over the years, he has shaped a visual language that blends art and design, whimsy and elegance, color and geometry. Storytelling is at the core of every project, approached with a sense of the unexpected and a touch of sophistication.

His practice also extends to projects of all scales, spanning entertainment, publishing, and branding.

He shares a studio with his wife, called Molto, a space where they work, experiment, and collect countless books on art and design.

Elsewhere, you can find him walking in the woods with his dog Lula, playing tennis, or cooking.

2. Personal practice

Alongside his commercial work, Loris maintains a personal practice in the studio, an essential space where he explores his own artistic voice. His work here moves through themes of nature and the human being, often turning to visual metaphor across mediums, from illustration to animation.

More recently, this practice has led him to Automobili, a hand-drawn series exploring the theme of cars, a practice where he uses imprecision and gesture to represent the idea of a car. Drawing from memory, he plays with repetition, dynamism, broken proportions, and new perspectives.
